We encountered the largest collection of bees that we’ve ever seen in Encinitas. A client called us to rescue a swarm in a tree. Shortly after, he called back in a panic, saying that the amount of bees kept growing! We rushed over to discover that multiple colonies decided to land on the same tree. A reason for this could be the distinct pheromones the bees elicit attracted other colonies. The bees made many failed attempts to combine colonies, then split to another tree on the property, making our job easier…only slightly.
